La felicidad de la imaginación

The Happiness of the imagination

Sergey Gerasimenko is a professional in the technique, he accurately mixes happiness in low and high tones, expressions that swing masterfully from imagination to reality, to compose a magical whole. Beyond decorative art, Gerasimenko’s proposal is the most sublime song of color, their emotions are combined in a natural process, where we can perceive the intention of the artist and what is raised within the same creativity. The perfect contrast where the invention can be whatever you want in complete freedom.

What was your first contact with art?
It was a long time ago… me and other children played near a small river and there was a lot of clay… and we sculpted small figures of animals and people from clay…. then I was 5 years old. And at the age of 7, my mother sent me to an art school for children.

What have been the biggest obstacles you have faced to obtain your own style?
I didn’t know what I wanted… I didn’t understand myself, I had a lot of emotions, a desire to become an artist, and very little discipline…I didn’t know what it means to be an artist, I still experience all this and am in search of my own style…now everything is changing for me inside and out…and I have to start over!

What are the themes that appear in your works? What are they about?
There was a time when I was fond of abstract art, then gradually I moved on to more objective, figurative art, this is expressed in the theme of the interaction of people with the flora and fauna surrounding them … without realizing I wanted to create an image of a cozy world of beauty, love, warmth…

What is the first thing a virtual audience or people in general notice when they appreciate your art?
According to my observations, first of all, soulfulness and childish immediacy are noted, then the color scheme, then the shape of the sculpture, if it is a sculpture, then the way of expression and style, that is, positive emotions come first, and then technique and style, I think, but I could be wrong…
